CEC – Centre of Environmental Engineering and Climate Change

To improve the present status of civil engineering in the college and bridging the gap between industry and academia, we are proposing a centre of environmental engineering and climate change.

The objectives of this centre, CEC will be:

1. To carry out fundamental research.
2. Knowledge transfer for students.
3. To promote education and awareness related to environment and climate change by becoming a centre in this region.
4. Apply for grant in aid to different Government funding bodies.
5. Dissemination of knowledge through training courses, workshops, seminars, conferences and symposium.
6. To train the graduates in cutting edge skill areas for better employment.
7. To work as research lab for PG course in. environment/climate change in near future.
8. Apply for grant in aid to different Government funding bodies
9. Consultancy services for private and public organizations
10. Publications in scientific journals

The centre will help us to improve academic environment as well as creating better job opportunities for the students. This will also help us for getting approval to start master degree (M.Tech.) in the area of Environmental Engineering and Climate Change.
